ARTIST BIO
Painting and drawing are the language that allows me to reach the parts that I have no words for: the feeling and memory. The physicality of manipulating acrylic and mixed media on a surface releases female intuition and aesthetic fulfillment. I enjoy utilizing abstraction to visualize randomness, patterns, struggles, and joys through my study of radical feminism. I’m soothed by the drips, lines, circles, and brushstrokes that reveal networks. I hope to show women new ways of seeing ourselves: individually embodied energy that’s part of a universal ecosystem.
Sisters, do you see the rhythms, portals, and connections?

ABOUT ME:
Greetings Sister! I'm Preeti P, painter, writer, jill of many trades, and creator of female.liberation, a feminist consciousness-raising project.
Born in NYC to American immigrant parents, raised in rural Pennsylvania, and a Philadelphia transplant since 2005, I bring my eclectic background into all that I do. My worldview is heavily informed by my years as an artist, feminist community organizer, violence prevention and workers' rights educator, anti-trafficking direct service volunteer, sociologist, technologist, food service worker, and avid traveler. What influences my thinking the most is the testimony and witnessing of women and girls I encounter throughout the world and their dreams for the Women's Liberation Movement, their dreams of female sovereignty.
